Villa Maria College announced that it will switch to distance learning for the remaining three and a half weeks of the 2020 fall semester starting Monday, November 23.

“As always, the safety of our students, lecturers and staff is our top priority,” said Dr. Matthew Giordano, President of Villa Maria. “It is unfortunate that we have to switch to a fully online format again, but we are ready. Students can rest assured that they will continue to have a high quality educational experience after the fall semester. The students have already benefited from some of the college’s preparations, such as our updated distance learning software and our tech lending program. “

A press release states: “Villa Maria prides itself on being student-centered, especially in these unpredictable times. The campus buildings will remain open to students to use essential campus services, including computer labs. The college will continue to support students online by offering its full range of remote support services as well as some limited on-campus services.

Villa Maria College will continue to monitor this ongoing situation and act in accordance with state and local officials. For more information on this and the college’s full response to the coronavirus and real-time updates, please visit
